Every month we scour the width and breadth of the region for creative sector news. Go on take a peek and don't forget to send us your news.
As of the 24th April we have also added a stonkingly brilliant page packed with competitions, jobs and funding opportunities to get your creative juices flowing. Stay in touch and who knows the gates of opportunity may burst open for thee.
Nothing to do? Bored? Well there’s plenty of art, literature and music happenings every month so check them oot.
We rely on contributions from other people so please e-mail us your North East art, music and literature event details. It's a free service. By spending 5 minutes less on your social-networking gubbins you will help this site stay alive, and feed our 5,000+ starving visitors each month which is nice:)
For starters there's a hugely insightful directory to get your teeth into. With hundreds of entries covering art, business, literature, music, regional development and all the bits inbetween.
Soon we will be adding many more useful bits and bobs to the site including a forum, regional information, shop and downloads. Bookmark us and pay us a visit every month to watch us grow...
Toad is a Newcastle based writer and illustrator. Every couple of months we will upload chapters from 2 of her, as of yet unpublished, books 'Gargoyle' and 'Roma'. These form part of the autobiographical trilogy 'Course Through a Northern Collage'.
'Thank Heaven for Little Goyles' should appeal to children of all ages, and is the 1st chapter of book 1. Prelude to and chapters 1 and 2 of Roma are also online so go read them and let us know what you think.
Making the site accessible to as many people as possible is hugely important to us. At the moment we are working on high contrast, text only and government standard access keys for the site.
A Site-map has been added to help you navigate around the pages. This will be constantly updated as and when parts of the site are added or taken away. If you have any more suggestions as to how we could make improvements do let us know.
